Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first race, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she attended an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting the new world junior record. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
